The next entry in our Style Class series is Pale American Ale (BCJP Category 18) and Amber and Brown American Beers (BCJP Category 19).  See here for BJCP Style Guidelines.

The class well be held on June 26 at 1PM @ Homebrews and Handgrenades.

We will be covering the style guidelines for these categories, tasting commercial examples of each sub-category, and discussing what sets each sub-category apart from others.

Cost of the class will be the cost of the beer and materials.

Priority will be given to HHCBC Charter Members; non-charter members will have an opportunity to reserve tickets two weeks prior to the class if tickets remain.  Please do not reserve a ticket unless you are going to attend. Seating is limited to 12 participants; if you RSVP and don’t show, you’re taking a seat away from someone else.

Style Class – Trappist Ales

Our next installment in the style series will be Trappist Ales (BJCP Category 26).  We will be covering the Trappist Single, Belgian Dubbel, Belgian Tripel, and Belgian Dark Strong Ale (also known as a Quadruple or Quad) styles.

The cost of the class will be determined by the cost of the beer & materials.  Due to the higher cost of these beers the cost of this class will be higher than previous classes, I expect it to be in the $15-20 range.  Pizza will be served at the end of the class.

The class will be limited to 12 participants.  Please do not reserve a seat unless you will be attending.
