February Club Meeting at The Brewer’s Collective!

Join us on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021, at The Brewer’s Collective (1460 N Clinton Ave, Unit N, Bay Shore, NY 11706) for our next club meeting. The meeting will be from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

We’ll be reviewing the upcoming homebrew competition schedule, discussing progress of the ’45 Challenge’ teams and Last Brewer Standing: Clone Wars entrants, along with some other special announcements. Bring any homebrew-related questions with you!

Feedback Table will be open for anyone that wants to bring homebrew samples to discuss.

The monthly club raffle is open for donations. Some tasty beverages are up for grabs in this month’s raffle.

We’ll also be selecting the winner of the special raffle for the 7.5 Gallon Stainless Steel Anvil Bucket Fermenter, donated by Tom Beach. Entries to the fermenter raffle are still open at $10/ticket. Click Here to Get Details and Sign up.

Payment methods are cash, or PayPal.
Pete graciously agreed to be a collection point for the cash.
Please try to have exact change for him.

Paypal can be sent to johnnysoj@yahoo.com

Please be sure you use “Send to friends and Family” as its free if you’re using your bank account.
Please include your full name as it appears in Facebook in the comments section when you pay.

Deadline for payments is March 2nd, 2016. We can expect about a one month turnaround time.

The reason for the aggressive  deadline is to hopefully get these shirts in before the Spring Craft Beer Festival on April 2nd.

Don’t worry if you miss the deadline.  We will be able to make additional smaller orders (in batches of 5 to 10) afterward.  Prices may vary on batch size however.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me, or msg me in the Discussion group on Facebook.

Thanks,

John.

Chopped Brew-Off

Organize into teams, with each team having to brew to a pre-designated style, with a defined yeast strain. We will be picking two adjuncts at random, and all teams will have to use the adjuncts such that they are noticeable in the finished beer. Beers will be judged by the club at an upcoming meeting.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Handgrenades Homebrew and Craft Beer Club (HHCBC).

We are a Nassau County, NY based group and meet on the third Tuesday of each month at various craft beer bars, restaurants, and breweries.

Our mission:

1) Homebrewing education and events, including clinics, classes, and brew days;
2) Social events like brewery trips, group attendance at tap takeovers, etc., and bottle shares;
3) Promote craft beer culture on Long Island by supporting businesses and organizations that have a craft beer focus.

Please post any suggestions you have for club events, whether homebrew or social.

The club is open to all. Feel free to invite your friends who would have interest.
