August 31st |Club Webinar with Imperial Yeast

The fine folks at Imperial Yeast will be joining us for a Zoom Chat on Monday, August 31st at 7PM to share best practices on yeast handling, QC on a homebrew scale and any questions you may have regarding Imperial Yeast.  This event is for HHCBC or AssLIHC Members Only. Hosted by Education Director and BJCP Judge Mike Murphy. This is a style class on Imperial Stout. We will discuss recipe creation and variations of the style. Due to COVID concerns this class will be limited to the fist 15 people who sign up. I am asking everyone that is coming to please bring at least 30 ounces of an Imperial stout based beer for the group to sample. I will add a few from my cellar as well. Please post what brand and type of beer you will be bringing in the comments section of the post so we can cut down on duplicates. I will have enough tables and chairs to assure proper social distancing is maintained. Please bring your own face covering and hand sanitizer. Thank you in advance!

We’ll try to guess who’s hiding behind each mask, re-cap the winners of the Spring Club Competition, Last Brewer Standing Primary Round an upcoming events (hopefully).

May Club Webinar with W.A. Meadwerks

Join us on Tuesday, May 19th for our next Club Meeting. Once again, the meeting will be a webinar. Starting at 7:30 PM, we’ll cover club happenings, get a status update of all the AHA Big Brew Day Beers (and Ciders and Mead), and preview the highly anticipated return to beer festivals this summer and beyond.

AHA Big Brew Day

Big Brew for National Homebrew Day is the homebrewing community’s annual celebration—a chance to fire up the brew kettle and raise a glass to the greatest hobby there is: homebrewing! Many club members will be virtually banding together to brew from their homes, backyards, kitchens, garages, basements, bathrooms, anywhere really—in unison with homebrewers across the globe. We’ll be posting content throughout the day on Saturday, May 2nd on the club Facebook page. Stay tuned and share your photos! Any questions about homebrewing–reach out to the club!
